Residential Applications for Voice Alert
Home uses of Voice Alert include :
- child safety around swimming pools,
- stairways and driveways,
- announcing visitors,
- warning of intruders,
- protection of garages, tools, equipment and automobiles.
With a range of up to 1000 feet (300' through walls) and the ability to trigger additional devices using "C" relays (lights, alarms, home automation), the Voice Alert System-6 offers installers, homeowners, and automation enthusiasts an ideal solution for hard-to-wire situations.

Residential Scenarios
Voice Alert can monitor all four zones simultaneously and still have two additional zones available (along with their own custom messages), if required.

Adding a voice to Fire systems
Experts agree that people have about four minutes or less to escape a home after a fire alarm sounds.
Use the contact closure on a Voice Alert sensor/transmitter to tie into the smoke alarm's output. When the fire system triggers an alarm, the system issues an audio command that fire has been detected.
Hearing a voice message can help reduce confusion.
Voice Alert and X-10 technology
The Voice Alert System-6 is very flexible and can easily be integrated with an X-10 network by using the X-10 PowerFlash module.
The PowerFlash module is wired to a relay on the Voice Alert Receiver/Speaker. When motion is detected an X-10 house/unit code signal broadcasts over the wiring of the property. This house/unit code can be recorded by home automation software or trigger other X-10 modules.
By using an X-10 PowerFlash in conjunction with an X-10 Universal relay module wired to a CCTV security system, individual camera's can be activated or trigger fast recording of a particular camera. Other applications might be to turn on a light, or sound an X-10 chime in another room.
Voice Alert System-6 provides much more reliable outdoor motion detection with greater distances than standard X-10 motion detectors.
